I met Blaine while I was working on a liveaboard and he was the group leader of 18 guests. From the start he was extremely professional and I was grateful to have him take such good care of his guests and our crew. When he saw the regs I was using, he talked to me about the benefits of using a Hollis system, and a few months later I was a proud owner of a Hollis 500SE regulator. Since getting the regs from Platinum Scuba, I've been able to ask questions any time of day and been given detailed, professionayl answers that were helpful, and I've had my regs serviced and rebuilt in a timely and affordable fashion. I wouldn't go to another dive shop if I was forced to (I live in Ontario and would rather ship across country for the best possible service). Thanks Platinum Scuba for a great afternoon of scuba refresher. You were very patient and helpful in getting us all settled into our equipment and we felt very comfortable. We loved your top notch, brand new equipment as well. Everything was so well organized and I liked how everything was so accessible (weights if we needed them, markers under the water to test buoyancy). Thank you for giving us some space in the pool to go at our own pace and test out our equipment and comfort zones. I would definitely recommend Platinum Scuba to anyone brand new to diving, or anyone looking to do another training course or refresher. Thank you!

If you're looking to get certified or even just try it out in the pool you can be sure to get top quality service in a friendly, relaxed, and efficient environment. Blaine took me from a scuba student to a confident diver. Amazing experience!! if you just want to tick off some skills on to get your card I'm sure they can do that, but if you want to get confident as a scuba diver, go dive with them.

Platinum Scuba and Blaine have done it again! This is my third scuba vacation organized by Blaine through Platinum Scuba, and they have all been wonderful! He is very attentive to all the details, and makes it a very hassle-free and relaxing vacation for everyone. (I have taken a couple other trips with other organizations/shops, and those experiences are probably the reason I am aware of how spoiled we are with Platinum.)Plus Blaine knows his divers personally, and watches out for everyone to make sure we all have a great vacation- whether that involves checking to make sure a dive computer is set to nitrox instead of air or arranging transportation to the local grocery store for food (and booze!).I have also taken two different certifications (Nitrox and Dry Suit) with Blaine, and intend to take a couple more in the near future. While he takes everyone's safety very seriously, he is also very down to earth and chill about training his students, which makes the classes much more enjoyable. There is no hurry or stress to hurry up and get through it; but rather, he wants to make sure his students understand and are comfortable with their newly acquired and required skills.Furthermore, I appreciate the fact that Platinum Scuba didn't/doesn't pressure me into buying a bunch of gear right off the bat. Instead, I rented some gear on a few different occasions so I could try out a number of different kinds of things before deciding what I wanted. And I trusted Blaine enough that I even purchased a few pieces of used rental gear at a discount rate to save me some money. Blaine gets all of my business because he is first rate at customer service!I just can't put into words how much I enjoy traveling with and doing business with Platinum Scuba. You really just have to experience it for yourself!

Blaine is an incredible instructor! He is very patient and knowledgeable! I had a lot of fun during my discover scuba diving lesson and never felt pressured to do something I wasn’t comfortable with.

As a newbie to Scuba, I wish I would have taken my Open Water diving course through Platinum Scuba! After visiting with Blaine and checking out the facility in Lethbridge, it's obvious that he has taken every measure to ensure this is a TOP OF THE LINE scuba facility. While we are considering a refresher course, Blaine provided a tour of his facilities and walked us through his programs. He was able to provide air testing certificates, and proof that he has all of his equipment regularly inspected by professionals and his air tested to the highest level of quality I've not been able to find that with ANY other shop I've been to. I didn't realize how rare it was, until I asked a few other shops in Calgary/Lethbridge to provide the same proof. Most admitted that the process and testing equipment was too expensive! If I'm going to be breathing the air in the tank, I want to know that the air and/or the compressor has been tested!!I also appreciate that Blaine and his crew at Platinum, do all of the heavy lifting for you! You don't have to carry your equipment around or move it from place to place, you just have to show up and learn how to work with it! I also found it appealing that they could offer one-on-one instruction in the pool to get you through your course in a shorter time period! There were 8 people in my open water class so the instructor had very little time for one-on-one. Very appealing! We WILL be back to Lethbridge for more courses with Blaine and Co.!
