My wife and I had the most amazing experience at Rec & Tek SCUBA Inc. From learning to scuba dive, to equipment selection and price, Mitch and his staff are amazing people. No wonder they have been in business for 20 years. The instructors make you feel comfortable by understanding that this is all new to us, and my wife felt at ease from the patience through every step of the way. What an amazing experience we had, just amazing! We would give 10 stars if possible, what a fantastic store, and staff you have Mitch!

Recently back into Diving again and we reached out to Mitch for advice and some training. We did did our Nitrox certification through Mitch and enjoyed the practical part of gas mixing training he provided. Mitch is so passionate and knowledgeable about scuba diving! It was an absolute pleasure to chat with him while signing up for my Padi Open Water. I was already so excited about starting my journey into Scuba Diving and I'm even more excited now that I now I will be doing it with a dive center as awesome as Rec and Tek.

Staff and Instructors are very experienced, knowledgeable, and accommodating. They will spend time with you to ensure you are comfortable, and answer any questions. The instructors and training is very professional and you'll be in safe hands the entire time. The dive shop is a proud locally owned and operated business and I am happy to support them because they will always support me and always put the customer first.

Mitch (and all the Rec & Tek staff) are very friendly, experienced, knowledgeable, and accommodating. I spent hours talking with Mitch about gear ideas, preferences, and what I was thinking and he thoroughly and eagerly answered all my questions, provided knowledgeable insight, and made great recommendations. I did my PADI OW 16 years ago here and I remember being informed and confident through entire experience thanks to the amazing dive master, assistant instructors, and instructors staffed at Rec & Tek. Mitch is always willing to go out of his way to help, and he is more passionate about diving than being just a business" and it shows. Highly recommended

Awesome experience here! I did my PADI open water certification with Rec and Tek and it was very smooth. The owner, Mitch, was quick to respond to my questions and was so encouraging! This shop clearly puts safety as a top priority and ensured I was well fitted with proper equipment. They were also totally accommodating of my student budget, which I appreciated.The training session in the pool and lake were very professional, informative, and safe. I feel absolutely inspired to continue my scuba journey and would certainly recommend this place!

The best customer service! I called a few different shops, but Mitch was so helpful on the phone that I knew Rec & Tec was where I'd get the help I needed. Mitch was patient in answering my questions and enthusiastic about helping me find the right suit to keep me warm enough to enjoy my dives. Really appreciated your help today in getting me set up for my trip on such short notice. (Shop dog also receives 5 star rating. 10/10 would pet again.)

A little shop with a huge heart, copious amounts of knowledge , and passion. Mitch is amazing. Mitch is a very experienced diver and is encouraging and patient for those of us still beginning. He explains things plainly and thoroughly. My husband and I routinely rent equipment from here and have even purchased some equipment. The equipment has been superb. Mitch is genuine and honest in all transactions and follows up to ensure all is good. Right from day one we felt welcomed and trusted Mitch. Fantastic job!!

I have been diving since 1997. And since then I've had my junior open water. Nobody ever gave me a problem with it so I just dove with it all over the world. I would get sideways glances at 37 years old using the junior open water. But last year Mitch convinced me to do the advanced open water and continue my education into the sport we all love. I'm very glad I did this because I met some fantastic people while diving and one person in particular. I've actually went on several different adventures with the one adventure being Portugal. So if I had never taken the advanced course with rec & tec scuba, I never would have met one of the coolest people I know. Mitch is a stand up guy and will go the extra step to make sure that you get what you need. He also holds a lot of special sales. And over the years this has been probably one of the best dive shops I've ever attended anywhere
